Aqafarina · 1956

Where our story begins.

A family tradition spanning three generations, from Florence to Cascais.

Italian hospitality is not simply something we serve. It is something we have lived since 1956.

OPENING OF THE FIRST BAKERY IN FLORENCE.

In the post-war years, Umberto Nocentini opened a small neighbourhood bakery. Tuscan pane sciocco and Schiacciata Toscana soon became known for their quality.

PRODUCTION EXPANDS. AQAFARINA IS BORN.

Andrea Nocentini transforms the small shop into a production company. Tradition meets new ideas: bread, schiacciata, desserts, tarts and savoury snacks.

LAUNCH OF PANBRIACO STREETFOOD.

Tommaso Nocentini, the third generation, brings the family’s artisanal tradition to Florence, Milan and Brescia through a new street-food concept.

AQAFARINA CASCAIS OPENS.

Luca Bastagli Ferrari and his daughter Manon open the first Aqafarina outside Italy, in the heart of Cascais and only a few metres from the sea.
